Activities & Excursions
In the vicinity you can make wonderful walking tours, cycling tours or just enjoy nature (the Bükk is known for its special flora and fauna). In the village Tardona,
a few fishing ponds are constructed. On the road to Dédestapolcsány there is a small natural rock, used for professional climbing.

Szilvasvarad is a 15 minutes drive from Tardona and towards the north your reach the town of Kazincbarcika in 10 minutes. Large cities in the area are Miskolc and Eger. The capital Budapest can be reached via the M3 motorway within 2 hours.

Surroundings
The resort is located in the North East of Hungary at the borders of the village Tardona (GPS LN 48.17040, 20.53775 LE) at the foot of a national park, the Bükk hills. Wild pheasants, deer and rabbits occasionally come by for a visit.
Tom de Smet (Culinary Journalist, TableTom, az asztalom) who came to visit us in the summer of 2007 said about our region "it is the Tuscany of Hungary".

Baroque town of Eger (also known for the Egri bikavér, bull’s blood wine);
Lillafüred (mountain railway, caves, waterfalls, lake and Pallota castle);
Troutfarm in the Bükk with fresh delicious trout
Skiïng areas in the Bükk and Slovakia;
Tokaj Wine Region (known for the dessert wine).
